The following scholarship opportunities are made possible by the generous support of the SEI Futures Fund in collaboration with the ASCE Foundation.
SEI Student Scholarship
To be eligible for this scholarship you must be a current full-time student (undergraduate or graduate student enrolled in civil engineering or a similar program), a current member of SEI (free to add the institute to your ASCE membership), and have never attended Structures Congress.
Up to 20 student scholarships are available for 2023. Make sure to review all requirements, the 4 primary areas of evaluations, and what needs to be included on your application BEFORE applying.
The deadline to apply and participate at Structures Congress 2023 is January 6, 2023.
SEI Young Professional Scholarship
To be eligible for this scholarship you must be a young professional (35 years or younger) in industry or academia with plans to become more involved with SEI.
Up to 25 scholarships, with 5 specifically dedicated to full-time teaching faculty, are available for 2023. Make sure to review all requirements, eligibility, and what needs to be included on your application BEFORE applying.

SEI Student/Recent Grad Presenter Scholarship
To be eligible for this scholarship you must be a current student or recent graduate within 4 years of graduation from an undergraduate or graduate civil engineering program, a current member of SEI (free to add the institute to your ASCE membership), and able to present in-person in the “Meet the Future of Structural Engineering” technical session at Structures Congress 2023. Scholarship recipients will present their response to the question: “What is one innovation that you think will have the biggest impact on the structural engineering profession by 2035?”
Up to twelve scholarships are available to provide increased participation and leadership opportunities. Scholarship recipients will be formally mentored by an SEI Member while preparing their presentation for Structures Congress to increase their technical communication and networking skills.
